PROPOSAL WRITER/ADMINISTRATOR

 
Reports to: Sales - CRO 
Location: Remote/Hybrid - HQ in San Jose, CA  
Salary Range: $70,000 – $90,000  

 

SUMMARY

As Lynx is growing, we are seeking a Proposal Writer/Administrator to join our team. The goal of this role is to ensure that proposals are accurate, compliant, and competitive by working collaboratively with sales, engineering, and the business team. To be successful in this role, you must have excellent communication skills (oral and written), as well as the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely. Furthermore, having strong project management skills, being detail oriented and being capable of managing multiple proposals simultaneously is essential. 

Responsibilities

Proposal Writer/Administrator duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Researching, writing, and organizing information in a professional and credible manner

  • Creating strategies for convincing others to take appropriate action

  • Editing and revising proposals according to feedback

  • Maintaining consistency in proposal writing by following company policies

  • Prepares and leads effective meetings and status calls to ensure activities adhere to the proposal management plan and schedule

  • Collaborate with sales and underwriting leaders on bid decisions and opportunity on strategy

  • Leads the proposal project and manages the successful development of a high-impact proposal, focused on customer needs through effective collaboration across teams

  • Produces tailored and targeted proposals by understanding the customer needs, competitors, product strengths and weaknesses, opportunities, and threats

  • Coordinates reviews, provides comments, and facilitate discussion among stakeholders to resolve information and discrepancies and secure final approval of proposal documents.  

  • Creates detailed proposal management plans for complex deals and monitors all phases of the proposal project from pre-proposal strategy to development to ensure on time delivery

Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred; and/or combination or work experience  

  • 2+ years of relevant experience
     
  • Exceptional written, oral communication skills and interpersonal skills

  • Agility and speed in executing strong writing

  • Excellent organizational skills and professionalism

  • Strong working knowledge of work processing software

  • Strongly detail oriented

  • Ability to meet deadlines

  • Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills with internal stakeholders, outside customers, and other parties
